Neuromuscular Therapy

Insurance

The Center for Muscular Therapy does accept insurance when benefits are available. Personal Injury, Primary Car Insurance will sometimes cover massage to help with recovery from an accident. With a prescription from your primary care physician, worker's compensation plans may also cover for on the job injuries. Laurie is a provider for The Wellness Corporation, which provides Complimentary Medicine for the Massachusetts Laborers' Health and Welfare Fund.

Hot Stone Massage

A technique which utilizes Swedish Massage techniques with smooth, heated stones. Heated stones as well as the hands of your therapist, gently loosen tight muscles and relax the body at its deepest level.


Sports Massage

An invigorating massage which warms and energizes the muscles to move more freely, preventing sprains and strains. The competitive athlete can benefit from sports massage before a competitive event to help perform at their personal best, as well as after the event to ease and alleviate pain, soreness, and inflammation.


Deep Tissue

By focusing on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue, chronic patterns are released by slow strokes, direct pressure and/or friction, applied across the grain of the muscles, tendons and fascia.
